Do You Have A Broken Water Well?

You may be asking yourself "How can I tell if my water well is bad?". There are many indicators that your water well needs to be fixed. Some of these indicators include:

  • Power loss - Your pressure tank needs electricity to run the pressure switch and pump out the water, so however much water your tank is holding is the amount of water you will have to work with.
  • Low Water Table - Water spitting out of the tap, muddy or murky water, or a noticeably different taste in the water.
  • Previous improper installation - There are details about the installation process that may seem small, but may drastically shorten the life of a pressure tank. The position of a producing formation determines the directional-well profile and placement of the remote rig. The majority of "extended-reach" wells are drilled for applications like this. By intersecting many targets with a single wellbore, significant production rates may be delivered relatively cost-effectively. In some circumstances, the attitudes (bed dips) of the producing formations make directed wells for repeated completions the most cost-effective strategy. This also holds true for several producing zones close to fault planes or below salt domes.
